The Lineup - 8x10

I painted this one just because it made me happy.  And I have to say, it looks way cuter in person.  I love avocado green and this turquoise-y blue together, I almost want to keep it but I don't know where I would hang it.

The house is all decorated for Christmas now :) And according to Charlie the cat,  me wrapping the garland around the stair rail is the best new game in the whole world...I think  he plans on eating most of it before Christmas is over.

Avocado Scrub - Still life oil painting - 6x6

I painted these avocados on a very dark, almost black canvas.  Like the landscape I experimented with a few days ago.  It's kind of like painting in the complete opposite way that I'm used to, which makes it a good exercise .

Today we're driving to South Dakota, we left at 6 this morning and right now we're in a little town called Valentine in Nebraska. So far it's greener over here than I expected, way better than driving through Utah and Nevada! I think we have another 4 hours before we get to Eureka SD. Oh and we saw a reindeer!

This was the tiniest avocado I have ever seen, it was so cute I just had to paint it. And I love the background color, teal blue and that particular shade of green is one of my favorite color combinations.
