Kids are miraculously napping at the same time, giving me time time for a quick post.  This was one of my favorites from my last show, glad to finally share it with you now! It's also one of Lily's favorite spots to explore with her daddy.

I love how the beach and the ocean always seem to be changing, the sky too! I feel like I could paint them forever.

Three Pears - 11x14

The bright colors of fruits are always so fun to paint.  If you haven't tried it you should! I start by marking in the shadow areas, working towards the brightest ones.  It's fun to look for unique shapes created by the curves.

Still on maternity leave over here. Our new little dude is awake pretty much all the time, which means there's no time for me to paint.  But I still have a dozen or so new paintings that I finished before he was born.  So for the next couple weeks I'll be sharing those with you!
