Butterfly Beach - 12x12

So we finally got my new computer up and running (why is that such a painful process??) and I'm trying to calibrate the monitor and it's making me question everything! Showing my paintings accurately via the web is complicated because they'll look a little (or a LOT) different for everyone, yikes, it just makes me sad! I guess this is just the type of thing that will always look better in person.

Here's the new one for today, one of my favorite beaches:

Groovy Red Pepper - 5x7

I discovered that my toddler will eat red peppers! Well, only if she gets to dip them in hummus... but it still gave me the opportunity to capture these curvy red pepper shapes, which were surprisingly fun to paint!

Beach With The Berm Up - 8x10

I painted this one a while ago, while the berm was still up at our beach.  They build one every winter to protect the beachfront properties (I think) and it becomes the kids favorite part of the beach.  I think Lily really misses her sand "slide".

Three Mandarins - 6x6

Thank you to everyone who made it out to the studio tour this weekend! I think this may have been my most successful year.  Which is certainly encouraging considering the limited amount of time I get to paint these days!

Today's painting features some of these bright little oranges that me and Lily have been devouring lately.  I just love the bright orange color next to the blue of their shadows.
