Clouds Over Carpinteria - 8x10
The beaches have been crowded here thanks to the very warm weather, but it's still nearly empty when Lily and I go at 9 am...which also happens to be when the colors seem to be the clearest.

Butterfly Beach - 12x12
So we finally got my new computer up and running (why is that such a painful process??) and I'm trying to calibrate the monitor and it's making me question everything! Showing my paintings accurately via the web is complicated because they'll look a little (or a LOT) different for everyone, yikes, it just makes me sad! I guess this is just the type of thing that will always look better in person.

Groovy Red Pepper - 5x7
I discovered that my toddler will eat red peppers! Well, only if she gets to dip them in hummus... but it still gave me the opportunity to capture these curvy red pepper shapes, which were surprisingly fun to paint!
