More little watercolors

Here's another little set of aceo watercolors. They're just so much fun to work on, AND I can paint them on my lunch break which makes my desk job a little better :) I think they would be so cute to hang in a kitchen or a breakfast nook.

Finally!

I've finally gotten around to making paintings to cover up the awkward fireplace vent holes in our living room. It took me a while to think of something that I would be ok with looking at everyday. Art Cards, Editions and Originals

This year Christmas meant that I got to spend a relaxing week in California, but it also meant that I'd be without my oils for a while. Which seemed like such a waste since I was going to have so much free time, and usually I'm fighting for a few hours a week set aside for painting. Luckily I have a travel watercolor set, which I purchased in Florence :), so I tried making a few of these little ACEO drawings. And even though watercolors aren't my favorite these were super fun to make.

I didn't realize that I hadn't updated my blog in so long. Here are a few of my latest paintings, all are still for sale on my etsy site (http://www.sharonschock.etsy.com/). The second one down is my favorite, when I finished I didn't want to stop looking at it, it was exactly how I wanted it to be. I might be a little sad when it sells. The first one was painted from a photo I took while Zach and I were relaxing in Jamaica. There was a thunderstorm every afternoon, which is one of my favorite things. It turned the sky such an amazing color, especially in contrast with the sun so bright on the sand.
