Storm in Blue and Gold III - Landscape Oil Painting - 12x24

Doing all of these paintings of thunderstorms is making me have dreams about them...last night I had to hide in my closet because there was a tornado outside...it was much more effective than it would have been in real life :)

Oil on stretched canvas, 12x24 inches.
Painted sides, ready to hang.

Another in my series of storm paintings. I LOVE this one! The mood is everything I hoped it would be.

Colorado Rockies - Daily Landscape Painting - 8x8

Clouds are a bit tricky to me, I used to be really good at them, but they also turned out super realistic and that's not really what I want. I guess I'll just keep painting, and hope I figure it out.

My Favorite River - Golden Colorado, Landscape Painting - 6x6

I love how this one turned out, it's of my favorite river in Golden, CO. A perfect spot to go hang out on really warm summer days. This will be my last post for probably a week or so, it's time to pack everything up and get moving! We leave Friday afternoon, and I'll get to start painting again on Monday (which happens to be my birthday, what a great present:). Did I mention that our temp housing is in a hotel? I'm hoping for an interesting view so I can paint what's out our window.... I don't know what's in store exactly, hello adventure :)

Santa Barbara Palm Trees - Landscape Oil Painting - 6x6

I guess I better get used to painting scenes like this if I'm moving back to Santa Barbara :) I think I'm alright with that.

Winter Night II - Colorado Landscape Painting - 6x6

This is what I have learned to love about Denver, yesterday I wore short sleeves and sandals, even got a little sunburned at lunch time, and today I'm all bundled in my pea coat because it's 30 degrees with heavy blowing snow.

Because Colorado doesn't like to commit to seasons, it's fickle that way.

I Never Had Dared - Landscape Oil Painting - 6x6

I wasn't too thrilled with this one after I finished it Sunday night (I'm usually a few days ahead of myself on these daily paintings) but it's kind of grown on me since then. Maybe it's because I got horrible news right as I started working on it, either way I like it now.
