This is a big one for me.  I was in one of those moods where I wanted to paint something big, and just throw paint around for a while. These big cloud paintings are always good for that.

I played around with a bright red background for this painting.  I like to switch up my panel tones every once in a while, but I always end up coming back to my trusty old burnt sienna wash.

In other news, the show opening at the Tennis Club last Friday was awesome! Thanks to everyone who came out to see it!
One of my favorite parts of the night? When my friend Nif came up to me and said "Sharon, Elaine from Seinfeld is looking at your paintings" lol, love it.

New York City Street - 10x20

Another painting from my New York trip.  I was so excited about this one that I knew I had to paint it larger than normal.

Three Boats - 9x12

This is probably my favorite of the new harbor paintings I did for the Tennis Club show (opening tomorrow). I really love how the water turned out, and I had fun getting a little loose with it.

A similar painting to yesterday, except this one has me in it! I really wanted to feature this particular painting but no one would stand in front of it just right, so I had to do it myself.

MOMA Klimt - 5x7

I found a new game to play while I was at the MOMA.  This was fun to paint because I got to reproduce a Klimt painting and try to reproduce the look of interior lighting on a figure...not the easiest thing to do.
