Manhattan Corner - 5x7 painting

This was some practice in taking a very busy scene and uncluttering it enough to get a decent painting. I like this type of challenge when I'm painting on a small scale, it's a little painful doing it for larger pieces

Picasso at the MOMA - 6x6

Interior lighting is an interesting thing to paint, so much different than what I'm used to, but a good exercise.

Brooklyn Bridge - 5x7

Considering the awful photo I had to work from (it was just kind of a blah day when we took our tour),  I'm really happy with how this one turned out.  I have a little bit more confidence in my ability to imagine things, like the sunlight on this bridge for instance.

New York City Street - 10x20

Another painting from my New York trip.  I was so excited about this one that I knew I had to paint it larger than normal.

MOMA Self Portrait - 6x6

A similar painting to yesterday, except this one has me in it! I really wanted to feature this particular painting but no one would stand in front of it just right, so I had to do it myself.
