Blue and White Stripes - 6x12

My husband saved me from an umbrella just like this one at the beach last weekend.  It had gotten a little windy and someone's umbrella had sprung loose, but for some reason the pointy end (not the umbrella part) was headed full speed at the back of my neck.  Luckily my husband is part jedi and caught it just inches before it hit me.  Thanks love :)

"Long Branch, New Jersey" after Winslow Homer - 5x5

Things are looking much better in the studio today! I didn't waste any wall space, and all of my paintings are successfully hung.  I'll post some photos next week, a virtual studio tour if you will, for those that can't make it this weekend :)

Blue and Yellow Umbrellas - 5x7

This one looks better in person, for some reason my usual "perfect" spot for photographing is not working for me anymore.

Santa Claus Lane - Landscape Oil Painting - 6x12

I painted the umbrella first in this picture, it was the part that I was most excited about, and I loved it even when nothing else was painted in.  It made me wish I could always paint things that way.

Caught in the rain - Daily painting

I haven't done many paintings like this one, I'm usually not attracted to busy scenes. But this one had an atmosphere that I wanted to try to capture.
