Faux Lighthouse - 9x12

If you can't find a lighthouse to paint, paint the fake one instead? Or maybe it really does work, I have no idea, either way I wanted to paint it.

Santa Barbara Harbor XXII - 6x6

Tomorrow will be a busy day...and today will be busy while I prepare for it.  The Santa Barbara News Press is doing a story on me (yay!), and they're sending out a photographer to get some pictures before the interview.  And by some, I mean a lot, they want to include photos of 24 of my paintings, this makes me nervous and excited.  I'll let you know how it goes.

I'm on a quest to find that perfect bright umbrella blue, this is almost it, but not quite. I have found the perfect turquoise color thanks to a little beauty called Cobalt Teal...future paintings might be painted just so I can use that color :)

Santa Barbara Harbor Series VII - 8x10

I decided to do a few more of these harbor scenes in a slightly larger size.  I love these cradled panels, I think the wood really compliments the painting.

Cabrillo Sunday - Santa Barbara Landscape - 6x12

This is the second painting I'm planning on entering for the Faulkner Gallery holiday show.  My favorite part in this piece is the white tower on the right, but I can't remember what that building actually is...

 On a side note, I watched Psych for the first time, since they put it on Netflix.  I didn't know it was "set in" Santa Barbara, haha how fun!

Santa Barbara Mission - Oil Painting - 12x12

I figured I had to at least paint the Santa Barbara Mission once, so here it is right before sunset. I found the subject a little boring, maybe I just wasn't in the mood for it today. On a happier note, the sun came out today and I colored my hair, all the makings for a great day.
