Linden Field - 9x12
Tried a different method with this one, worked with more of a bold underpainting instead of just a wash.

Sandy feet at Ledbetter Beach 18x24
One of my favorites from my last show, feels so much like a summer beach to me.

East Beach Sunrise - 6x6
After working on so many large paintings for my last show, it's such a joy to work on something small for a change.

Another tiny painting today, I just had to play with the shapes of these trees and the bright sunrise behind them.

Third Beach - 6x6
Grays can be so much fun to paint (and sometimes so tricky to later capture on camera). The stark contrast of the palm tree and foliage was also intriguing to me.

Palm Trees and the Teal House - 5x7
I was drawn to the lingering fog and the contrasts the emerging sunlight was creating on this cheerfully colored beach house. The palm trees were an added bonus.

Thank you!
Thanks to everyone who came out for the tour, it was such a fun day, and perfectly sunny! I'm especially thankful for all the extra room I now have for new paintings. Seriously, thank you so much, I'm so honored that anyone would take time our of their weekend to come and see my work. It gives me even more motivation to keep on painting!
Whipped this out between visitors, hooray! |

Zookers Show!
I have REALLY been busy lately! Not only do I have lots of new work for the Studio Tour this weekend, but I also have a solo display up at Zookers here in Carpinteria. The show will be up until June 11th and I'd love if you could take a look and tell me what you think!
You can read a little bit more about it in this edition of the Coastal View

Studio Tour - THIS Saturday!
If you are local (and even if you are not) please come visit me this weekend! This is my 4th studio tour I think, and I'm so excited to be back at it after skipping last years!
I'll be open Saturday only, 10 am - 5 pm. You'll be able to see inside my new studio space, take a look at some new paintings in person, ask questions, pick up your free gift, and maybe even see my two little munchkin artists in training.
In the past I've had eager visitors come right at 10:00 and buy up my newest works, so come early if you want to see everything :)
Here's a link to our map hope to see you Saturday!
